Nekateri pridejo zgodaj, nekateri pozneje.
In p.s. Mimi je tista, ki reče zdaj.

While waiting among a number of photographers in front of the runway, for the show to start, in all previous fashion weeks, I always wondered how tense the atmosphere must be in the backstage right that minute. And how the models must be running from one end to another, getting dressed in new clothes, having their make-up and hair done for the next show. And pretty much, my guesses were right. It is hectic back there, but a well organised hectic.
You see, Ljubljana’s fashion week is one where in one evening, many designers present their collections at the same venue, with shows just minutes apart. So the logistics and organisation or let’s call it backstage choreography, that everything happens in the right time, is of most important.
Models quickly running from one end to another, getting dressed, make-up artists and hair stylists quickly adjusting make-up and hair for the next look, designers making final inspections and adjustments, than off they go and same thing all over again.
At first things are pretty calm, but towards the end of the shows, the backstage gets really busy. I figured that best thing to do then, is to just smoothly remove yourself from the centre of everything, as you don’t really want to be the one stepping on someone’s dress, or shoes or sunglasses or bump into the make-up artist making a big smear with her brush on the models face and find the safest place to be. And that is, at the show. [/column]
So fun! I would love to go to this one day. Great pictures, as always =) Thanks for sharing!
